How to install a Pionner SPH-DA120 Carplay head unit into a 2014 Sport Base Wrangler.
What did you do with the rear support bracket you removed to install the larger head unit? I am in need of one and can not find one anywhere.
I had this same head unit and installed it in my old Acura's. Now I had to tap the VSS wire (vehicle speed sensor) on my ECU previously. What color wire did you tap on the ECU for this Wrangler? I'm about to install on my girlfriend's 2013 Wrangler.
What navigation radio is this?
Very helpful video! Was just wanting to know, does the VR button on the steering wheel also work with Siri or does is become obsolete? Cheers
Great video. I have a good question. I have the normal buttons on the steering wheel. I want to add the designated microphone button on my steering wheel. Can i just purchase the new buttons add the buttons on my steering wheel and use them?
Hello, my name is Diego, I'm from Chile and I'm interested in to upgrade the basic radio from my 2012 jeep compass, which is the model RES, it does not has sterring wheel controls or bluetooth. I got a Mygig RB2 touchscreen radio locally in Chile, thinking that these OEM radios would be plug & play, I did a test removing my radio and connecting the RB2 device, but surprise when i put the car in on postion, the radio did not work, and the car dashboard lights went crazy, that got me nervous, so I remove the unit immediatelly and put back my original radio, and all went normal again with the lights. As nothing appeared in the screen of the RB2 device, i dont know what was the problem because I could not continue trying, so I would like to ask your help to know what could heppened? and if my car is able to upgrade the radio? and what radio would work?
Thanks in advance
will it not work at all without the Idata link? what if you dont care about steering wheel controls?
do you have the part number for that antenna adapter?
Would be a life saver if you did an install video on this with a 2007 jeep wrangler!
Looks very nice! Thanks!
Do you have a picture of your wiring? I'm doing them exact same thing pioneer so da 120 on a 2011 wrangler and I got the radio to turn on but there is no sound can you help?
would this fit a 2007 wrangler and how about security is it secure? great video btw
HI man! Like everybody have said, this video was really helpful and convinced me to get an aftermarket radio on my Jeep Wrangler. So far I have found all the pieces I need online but the only one Im missing is the exact same mount brackets you are using. Can you please provide me the link of the exact same brackets you are using in this video cause I have found some similar ones on Amazon but I don't want to but the wrong ones specially that the one you use fit perfect on the dash. Thanks a lot man have a great day…
great video! thank you
What kind of antenna adaptor is that? Do you have a link?
Great video! Showed me everything I needed to know AND this video was very enjoyable to watch.
Great job, I always your videos.
Aftermarket has many more advantages over factory. Don't forget to mention that if the radio supports it the Maestro can support tire pressure and door monitoring, and can be tied to ODB2 for sensor monitoring and diagnostic (use posi-taps instead of splicing). Also, can add a cheap backup camera. First thing I did on my 2015. The Metra brackets do leave a bit to be desired and don't slip with the knife… Take a piece of backstrap or plumbers tape and go from the back of the radio (usually a 4mm screw) and the is a bolt holding a the dash on a few inches above the radio to the left. Gives it some nice support.
What a FANTASTIC video you made here. So well spoken and to the point, clear and informative. Thank you.
I just purchased a new Wrangler sport unlimited just like your friends, bare bone except with a automatic. I want to put a low cost GPS/radio into it but do I have to buy that extra box you had to get for $150? I don't like the steering wheel controls in the back of the steering wheel as I keep changing channels when I am driving by accident. .so I would not connect the wire for those. Will just a factory wiring harness and the new GPS/radio work?
